KMG International launched the 19th edition of the Internship program
The program will take place in the Petromidia Năvodari and Vega Ploieşti refineries, in Midia Marine Terminal, Rominserv, Rompetrol Quailty Control and Rompetrol Well Services.
The students will be guided step by step by mentors, people whose experience in the oil & gas sector represents an additional motivation for the interns, as they will learn the most important concepts directly from the specialists.

Many of them are today installation chiefs, decision makers or experts in the areas in which they operate. This has generated a very high interest amongst students from Bucharest, Constanţa and Ploieşti universities, showing that the program is a real success. During the two months, the interns will go through several stages of practice and will find out how the oil is processed, how the Petrochemical Division works, how thorough the lab work, maintenance or planning are, why risk management is crucial, the importance of occupational security and why the focus should be on environmental protection. At the same time, students selected will participate in numerous workshops aimed at developing their knowledge on management or personal branding.
This year's theme of the Internship program is "Petromidia 40", in honor of the 40th anniversary of the existence of the largest refinery in Romania. In 1979, the first plant in Petromidia, the one for Atmospheric Distillation, was put into operation. All the details related to the evolution of the platform will be learned directly from those who have been directly involved since the first day of operation of the Petromidia refinery.
The programs developed by KMG International have proved successful each year, with a real contribution within the Group. The young employees integrated in the last years, together with the experienced specialists, have managed to achieve their objectives and achieve very good results for all the companies part of KMG International.
The Internship is directly supported by Petromidia and Vega refineries, which together form Rompetrol Rafinare, one of the main company members of the KMG International group. In 2018, Rompetrol Rafinare recorded exceptional operational results, with a record volume of processed raw materials - over 5.9 million tons. In 2019, the company aims to exceed the historical threshold of 6 million tons of processed raw materials.
