In 2025, Rompetrol continues to invest in key projects for Constanta County, reinforcing its commitment to health and education, the fundamental pillars of its corporate social responsibility strategy.

Investing in health: modern equipment for hospitals and improved access to treatment

In 2024, Rompetrol contributed to the modernization of medical infrastructure in Constanta County by:

  • Equipping the Multifunctional Health Center in Navodari with a 3D Tomosynthesis Mammography Machine and High-Performance Ultrasound Scanner, facilitating women's access to essential examinations.
  • Establishing the Regional Center for Autoimmune – Autoinflammatory and Rare Diseases within the St. Apostle Andrew’s Emergency Constanta County Hospital, in partnership with the Daruieste Aripi Association. The center serves over 300 patients, both adults and children, from the south-east region of Romania every month.
  • Modernization of the Ambulatory Oncology Care Unit within the Pulmonology Hospital in Palazu Mare by equipping it with medical equipment, furniture, and IT technology. The New Modular Day Case Unit provides care for patients with oncological pathologies and respiratory diseases from Constanta, Tulcea, and Calarasi Counties.

In 2025, Rompetrol continues its support to the medical sector by:

  • Equipping the Emergency Room of the St. Apostle Andrew’s Emergency County Hospital with essential equipment: the LUCAS chest compression machine, vital signs monitors, surgical aspirators, and nebulizers. These investments will help improve emergency services for patients in Constanta County.

Education and Community Development

In the field of education, Rompetrol supported in 2024 several initiatives related to the development of local communities:

  • The Chess in Schools project promotes critical thinking, improves concentration, and develops decision-making strategies and analytical skills needed in any professional field. Over the past five years, more than 100,000 children have been introduced to chess through in-person and online classes, and more than 71,300 have enjoyed the game outdoors at competitions and events held across the country.

  • Collaboration with Teach for Romania, through which the company supports early education in rural communities, providing children with equal learning opportunities.
  • Rompetrol Rafinare Internship Program, which for over 23 years has been providing students and graduates with internship opportunities in the energy sector.
  • Arrangement of the Tineretului Park in Corbu commune, a modern space of more than 300 square meters, equipped with safe and environmentally friendly playgrounds.

Environment: Initiatives for a Sustainable Future

Rompetrol supported Navodari city's initiative to green the city by participating in the autumn campaign to plant over 100 large trees in the streets, green areas, and parks. This action helps improve air quality and create a healthier environment for city residents.

At the same time, in the spring of 2024, together with the Planting Good Deeds in Romania initiative and Rompetrol volunteers, the company planted 5,000 spruce seedlings on 1.1 hectares in Paltinis, Sibiu County.

With these initiatives, Rompetrol confirms its commitment to contributing to the development of the community in Constanta County, investing in medical infrastructure, and supporting access to education for future generations.
