We have the responsibility to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our communities. We respond to both today and tomorrow’s challenges not only through our products and services, but also through our community engagement and social stewardship.
Annually we invest over 1 million USD in Constanța and Prahova regions, were our refineries are located, in projects to support health, education, forestation.
Below some of our initiatives:
In 2022, in Constanţa county, the company has various projects under implementation, such as the rehabilitation of sheltered housing in Lazu, in partnership with the General Directorate of Social Assistance and Child Protection (DGASPC), in Năvodari – a new radiology unit, and new immunology and microbiology laboratories, as well as equipment for the gynecology unit within the local medical center.
In the commune of Corbu, Rompetrol facilitated, during this year, the modernization of an ophthalmology office with all the necessary equipment for consultations.
Rompetrol in partnership with Asociatia Dăruiește Aripi has also made an investment at Constanța County Hospital, for the modernization of the obstetrics-gynecology post-operative block and the emergency reception unit. The Hospital serves a population of approximately 1 million inhabitants from the Dobrogea area.
To support education, Rompetrol Rafinare has been organizing for more than 20 years internship program for high-school graduates and students and invested in their development as future energy experts.
