The total investment exceeds USD 400,000 and was carried out in partnership with Constanţa County Emergency Hospital, Năvodari City Hall, Constanţa County Council, the SMURD Foundation and Dăruieşte Aripi Association.
"The health of our communities is also our responsibility and we have been supporting health projects for quality medical services for over 15 years. In Constanţa county, we operate the Petromidia refinery, the Black Sea marine terminal, an extensive network of gas stations, and we have over 1,500 colleagues, locals, who work in the Group's companies. We therefore have a moral duty to invest in the community, in addition to contributing to the economic and energy stability of the region" - Batyrzhan Tergeussizov, Chief Officer of Production and Industrial Services.
Rompetrol's investment consisted of the purchase of state-of-the-art Siemens radiology equipment that allows the transmission and interpretation of results in digital format, from different medical units across the country, as well as the appropriate arrangement of the space. The obstetrics-gynecology unit was equipped with ultrasound, video colposcope, cardiograph - fetal heart monitor, fetal doppler, gynecological table and treatment bed, sterilizer/autoclave with osmosis, medical instruments and the necessary furniture to carry out the medical act in good conditions. The microbiology and immunology units were also equipped with all the necessary equipment and reagents for the analysis of tumor, fertility, endocrinology markers etc.
"Today we can talk about the inauguration of the largest investment at the Navodari Multifunctional Health Center, made with the unconditional support of Rompetrol. We see how the radiology unit becomes functional in Năvodari, and people who need equipment and professional doctors will no longer have to seek support elsewhere. The people of Năvodari benefit from new facilities for the laboratory analysis and a new medical room in the Obstetrics-Gynecology field, fully equipped." – Florin Chelaru, Mayor of the City of Năvodari.
"Thank you, Rompetrol, on behalf of the entire team, but also of the patients of the Năvodari Multifunctional Health Center.
