Rompetrol rehabilitates assisted living facilities for the disabled people from Lazu, Constanta

Rompetrol invested an amount of 330.000 lei in the rehabilitation and equipment of the two assisted living facilities for adults with disabilities from Lazu, managed by the General Directorate of Social Assistance and Child Protection (DGASPC) Constanta.


“For the Company the support of the vulnerable communities is a priority, an essential element of our commitment we took upon through our CSR projects. Constanta is an area of interest for us, where we have more operations concentrated, the Petromidia refinery, and we invest annually in social, health, educational projects. We hope that the investment in Lazu will improve the quality of lives and comfort of the young people from the two centers” stated Felix Crudu, General Manager of Rompetrol Rafinare.

The project’s goals included the division of the space, replacement of the parquet floor and carpentry, rehabilitation of the bathrooms, as well as replacement of the furniture and of the necessary equipment up to the current standards that would last in time and offer optimal conditions to the beneficiaries.
 
The assisted living facilities from Lazu administrated by DGASPC offers a safe and comfortable living environment for people with disabilities, where they benefit from specialized services. Each living facility has a living area of 200 m2 and modern equipment, where social services and accommodation are offered to young people with physical, mental, neuropsychic, somatic, auditory, visual deficiencies.

Annually, Rompetrol invests over USD 500.000 in projects at the local level, through different partnerships with associations, medical units, schools, and local authorities. Last year in the Constanta County the company rehabilitated the Emergency Room of the Constanta County Emergency Hospital and built a Post Anesthesia Care Unit for the Obstetrics and Gynecology section, the medical unit from Navodari was provided with gynecology, radiology, immunology and microbiology equipment and the medical unit in Corbu with ophthalmology equipment.
