Energy efficiency
Our ultimate goal is to make the most efficient possible use of resources, and measure this process on an on-going basis to make sure that our ratios improve year after year.
Our main benchmark is the Energy Intensity Index (EII) of 96.1 points, the best figure ever since the establishment of the refinery.
To draw a full picture of this important achievement, please note that EII was 114.9 points in 2012: a improvement of 15 points over the last 6 years.
And while we reduced our energy consumption, we have continued to register record highs in production for Rompetrol Rafinare in 2018.
